They aren't.
They used to be, when Jordan was in his Chi-town days they represented the pinnacle of Nike technology and styling.
After he retired they are focused on other things, being the best ball playing shoe has been passed to specific shoes for player types. PG, SG/SF, PF/C all have shoes that fit their games better than one shoe (air jordan) to fit them all.
But back in the day, when cushioning and support technologies weren't as advanced or specialized as today.....the Jordan was the best shoe to ball in. AJ 3, 5 and 11 are perfect examples of being the best then, but not holding serve performance wise today. They will always look hot though!!!!

Because they research where b-ball players need support and the needed weight, Physics go into making these shoes so that they feel comfortable and preform well.

you won't need a gym because all you want for the workout is a park benchor perhaps a small wall and a smooth floor where you could do your depth jumps and your field jumps and a basketball for many exercise.

i think most jordans and forces suck to play ball in honestly but i like to wear them around when im not runing or anything cuz i like how they look

because they support your weight and makes you feel lighter (i feel lighter when i wear one), you can also easily move with them, jump higher (maybe), its comfortatable that makes you comfy running so you can run faster, and when you remove them (after youve tired yourself to the bones) your feet still feels fresh (for me it does feel fresh) and....
I feel cool wearing them... haha
