I am expecting less than 10 guests... what are good games and things to do for a babyshower?? I don't have much experience in planning these sort of things but somehow this task was dropped on me (which I don't mind of course) but any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!

At the last baby shower I went to, certain Baby Items were hidden in paper bags and we had to guess what was what without looking. That was pretty fun and easy, and also gave the new mom some extra needed supplies!

(I think the candy bar idea is hilarious)

Here is a link to some other shower ideas. http://www.babycenter.com/pregnancy/babyshowers/index

Good luck to you and congratulations to the new Mom!

I threw a baby shower for my friend last year and we had some really fun games. The funniest is to melt different candy bars and rub them into disposable diapers. Guests have to smell or taste the "poop" and try to guess what brand of candy bar it is. It's a hilarious game and you'll get some great photos!

Another favorite is to make a clothesline in your house by tying up some string or twine. Then each guest takes a turn with a basket full of cloth diapers and clothespins. While cradling a phone to their ear, they have to see how many diapers they can pin up - you know....the idea is to see which mom is best at "multi-tasking."

Here are a few more good ones:

1. Measure Mommy: Pass out yarn, string, or toilet paper and have the guests take off the amount they think will fit around the expectant mother’s tummy.

2. Draw the Baby: This baby shower game requires paper plates, pencils/pens, and a timer. First, the guests will put their initials (or name) on one side of the plate. Then flip it over to begin. The guests have to draw a picture of a baby on the paper plate. The key is, the paper plate is on the top of their heads while they are drawing. They cannot stop and look at their drawing during this and have 2 minutes to complete. At the end of the 2 minutes, someone collects the paper plates (NOT the mom-to-be) and the mom-to-be is the judge and picks the one she likes the best.

Have fun!

What is in the diaper bag.

I played this at a shower once and it was a lot of fun. We filled a diaper bag with all the essentials for a newborn baby. Then each guest had a pen and paper and was given 3 minutes to write down as many things as they thought you would need in a diaper bag. At the end of the three minutes the guest with unloaded the bag the guest that had the most matches (on their list and in the bag) won a small prize. Then the bag and supplies was given to the mom.

My favorite game is the "Dirty Diaper" game. You melt different candy bars in different diapers and the guests have to identify the "poop"

Depending on the mom-to-be. You can guess how big around she is using string or baby ribbon. (This can be upsetting for size sensative women)

At my baby shower 2 sleepers along with clothes markers were left out to be decorated with words of welcome for the new baby. They now hang in a shadowbox on my daughter's wall.

We played a few fun ones at my shower a couple years ago. One was baby items scrambled up and guests had to decode them

ex: ltotbe
bottle

Another one was safety pins in a bowl of rice, each guest was blindfolded and given 60 seconds to find as many of them as they could, it was a lot harder than it sounds!

Good Luck!

My sister threw my shower, and what I loved is that she came over, and spent an hour or two with me, looking up games on-line, and planing together what food to get, and really letting me say what kind of shower I'd like. As a result, we played two games that I thought were classy, and I really had a great time.

I'd say, schedule some time with her, and see what she wants out of it. She'll love you for it.
