i took that same pill for two years also. i lost alot of weight though after dieting and my periods got screwed up so I had to switch pills. I got pregnant the 2nd month after i switched pills so you can obviously get pregnant right away after stopping the pill. I don't know why the new pills didn't work for me, but I'm glad they didn't, we wouldn't have our baby boy if they worked!
Normally it can take a healthy couple up to a year to get pregnant. Just keep track of ovulation by checking cervical mucous or if you really want to know if you are ovulating then keep track of temperature charting. You can look it all up online to find out if you are ovulating.
good luck!!

the pills only stay in your system for a few days.. that's why you get your period once a month after taking the sugar pills. You should be able to get pregnant right away.
That being said, not everyone will get pregnant right away - and not becasue of the birth control pills! So try, but be patient!

I saw my gyno about this same thing last week. He told me that the remnants of your birth control can stay in your body for at least 6 months. He told me, that in order to be safe and lower the risk of birth defects, I needed to wait six months plus one month for every year I was on the pill. So in your case, it would 8 months. You can get pregnant any time you stop taking birth control pills, but you run the risk of having serious birth defects. I suggest talking to your doctor and see what they have to say about it. Good luck!

You can get pregnant immediately, but it's suggested to wait until you have at least one normal cycle so that your pregnancy can be accurately dated. The pill is out of your system in 2 days, but it can take a few months to get a normal cycle going again.

depends on your body. could happen on the next cycle, could take up to a year. For me it took almost a year to start ovulating again (on pill for 4.5 years). Now 20 weeks preggo!

it takes anywhere from a month to three months for your body to get your hormones back to normal. but after about a week of not taking it, you definetly can get pregnant.
it's best to wait through one complete cycle just to give your body a chance to adjust to being off meds... but good luck!!
