Pregnancy while on birth control?

I been on the pill for a year now. Last month I did not take one of the last pills and my period came early by 3days. I continued with a new pack for this month, but my period, or what looks like it, came almost 2 weeks early. I've had it for 5 days now and they are normally 3 days. For 2 days now I been feeling "sick." I am thinking of taking a test, but I wanted to know if this has happened to some of you. Can this be because I skip one pill? Or can it be a pregnancy? I am scare to test. Please, give all the advice you can.

The pill that I skipped was not a sugar pill. I don't even take the sugar pills.

I was on the shot and just took a test and found out that I am pregnant. No birth control is 100% effective. Take a test if you are worried, you might be making yourself sick by thinking that you may be, I have done that! If you are not skipping that one pill may have screwed up your cycle and it may take a month or two to get back to normal, I thought that those last pills were just sugar pills anyway.

Yes, you can get pregnant while on the pill if you aren't taking it properly.. It should be taken at the same time everyday. Although, if it's an hour before/after the usual time that's ok.. So, chances could be that your cycle is messed up from the missed pill.. However, I would go to a planned parenthood clinic just to be on the safe side... and if you aren't it's a good place to pick-up a second back-up form of birth control ...I like the VCF myself....

I got pregnant twice on the pill, it's not 100% effective even if u take it everyday....go spend the 9 dollars and take the test, best of luck to you!

I missed one day on the pill and am now 7 months prego. Take a test, or got to the dr. and they'll do it.

My first pregnancy happened while I was on Birth Control. Take a test!
