Basically, the panel light is saying "O/D off" which I know relates to my overdrive...but what could be causing this..and how big of a problem is it?

Yep, it likely just means that you have turned your overdrive off (to go up a hill or pull a heavy load usually, or even by accident).
This is not usually a problem!
The overdrive switch in Fords is usually at the end of the gearshift lever, and you just push it with your right thumb to turn it on or off.
Overdrive is just another name for your top gear.

You have a bad speed sensor in your transmission and it needs to be replaced. Your car will NOT shift into overdrive untill this is corrected. The Ford Windstar has the exact same problem. I would check with Ford to see if there was a recall on your specific car for this. Your car not shifting into overdrive will greatly affect your mielage and top speed.
The fact that the light is blinking means that the OD speed sensor is not functioning.

It means your overdrive is switched off. There's a button on or near your shift lever to turn it back on. It should almost always be on to save wear and fuel.
If that doesn't fix it, you have a transmission problem that needs to be looked at ASAP.

It means your overdrive isn't working and could be a sign of a transmission going bad.

The may actually want to say 'you're beautiful' or 'you're very pretty' but he may also be very shy and instead say 'you're cute' because he may be afraid of rejection if he throws around compliments so easily. On the other band he may say 'you're cute' because of a certain way you smiled or something about your eyes that made his heart flutter and his head spin while at the same time sent a flood of blood rushing through his pants. So he says 'your cute' when he really wants to say 'you're so damn hot!!!!!'

you probably hit the on off switch for your overdrive, the car is just letting you know its off, check owners manual to see where the OD switch is, then when you turn it on it should go away if thats the problem.

Go to your dealer or a good transmission shop: the contact could be loose and thats a quick fix, or there is a trans problem and the more you drive it the worse it will get.
