Sex, sweaty physical sex. Replace one urge with another?
Ok so that is my hope.
Physical activity together- Long walks, Golf, swimming....
Get out and change scenes to where smoking isn't happening.

Have you made honesty an expectation in your relationship? His bs about keeping me happy ,etc. would've worked about 5 minutes, because I'm an adult, I expect the truth from my husband, the end. He doesn't protect me because I don't need it. You're approaching this all wrong. Your husband has been lying to you for your whole relationship and you still don't want to ruffle his feathers. I certainly would judge a man who lied to me every day and laid down with me every night. Your husband will not quit smoking pot. He already chose it over you. That's the first mark of an addict. Maybe he'll prove me wrong. Wouldn't that be great?

The only thing I can think of is to try to help him feel like he doesn't have to sneak a cigarette. If he wants to smoke, he should at least be able to enjoy it comfortably. The thing about quitting is you have to decide that you really don't want to smoke anymore. So far I have gone 10 months.

I for one would be against the nicotine gum because that's the drug you are trying to break. I would buy plenty of fruit juice and just plain bubble gum. I quit cold turkey 9 months ago and have never felt better. Good luck!

Maybe write him little notes for him to find around the house. You know stuff like "I'm so proud of you for deciding to quit smoking! I know it's hard, but you can do it!"

If you try to get him to quit, he will do it behind your back. The only way he will quit is if he truley wants to and that has to come from within him.

Chain him to the pipes in the basement, then gag him. At least for the first three or four days. It worked for me.

Being a smoker then you know how hard it is to quit...it not other people believing in you, its believing in yourself that is key to quiting.
