Is there any way to be absolutely sure that Lea Salonga will be performing as Fantine in "Les Miserables" on Broadway on any given day? I especially went to see her yesterday but there was an understudy playing Fantine. I was very disappointed. Is there more of a chance she might be performing on the weekend?

I would suggest going to the stage door and asking, particularly when the actors are coming out after the show. A chorus performer will probably know the schuedule. There's likely a basic schedule where the understudy performs at least 2 shows a week and you happened to attend one of them. She is likely to perform the Saturday evening show since that's a very popular night to go to the theatre as well as the Sunday matinee, but every performer has their own arrangement and I can't pretend to know what hers is, so I would ask.

Good luck!

Lea Salonga would perform all 8 shows, unless she was sick, or on vacation.

You could buy day-of tickets at the box office, and ask there, ask performers at the stage door, or check Lea's myspace.

Performers, usually state in advance if they will miss a show, on their myspaces.

She may have taken the week off, but she's definitely still with the cast.

If your in town you can walk to the theater in the mornings when the box office opens (at 10 a.m.) to inquire.

Her myspace is usually updated and you can try messaging her: http://www.myspace.com/leasalongaofficial

Sorry you didn't enjoy the show and I hope you get to see her soon.

Good Luck
