Probably a bad battery connection. Take the connections off the posts, us a wire brush to rough up the connections and posts and tighten them back on.

Could also be a bad starter solenoid. This would make a clicking sound when it wont start. If it's you battery terminals then everything in the car would shut off.
Just to eliminate the possibility, I would clean the terminals anyway but I assure you it isn't. Try tapping on the starter with something metal like a bar or wrench and see if it starts then.
You can have the starter tested at any auto parts store for free.
I guess I answered before reading the full questio. If your radio is turning off then it could be either the connection like everyone is saying or your battery is bad.
Good luck

You have either a loose battery connection or the solenoid is going bad either one can cause this: as can a bad starter or the ground being loose on the block or the main power wire-rs starting to brake down. Start by checking all the wire rs from the battery to the starter for being tight and in good condition, if a ford replace the solenoid if you fine no loose or bad wire rs, if a GM vehicle replace the starter unit. Good luck!

more than likely a bad or corroded battery connection. Loosen the connections, clean with a wire brush or battery terminal cleaner and re-install.
If that doesn’t correct the issue, it could be a series of other things like a bad connection at the starter solenoid with the positive cable coming off the battery or even a bad solenoid.
Or
Could be a faulty ignition switch or loose wire leading to it.
Also check your fuses to make sure they all are good and getting good contact in the fuse block

The problem is probably the starter. If it wont start when the motors hot but will when it cools down a few minutes later. Could be an alternator problem to that its not getting enough power. You need to test the electrical system. Auto Zone stores do these free usually.

first the starting problem, could be a bad battery terminal or loose ground wire. if all that good then check the starter. The radio, if you have a radio with a security option then you need to get the code foe it. if there is not a security option then check the fuses, if not, radio gone bad.

Definitely check battery terminals as already suggested. Might be bad cable wire, too. You didn't say how old car was. Older the car, easier for those things to go wrong.

It's either the cellinoid, the wires to the battery, or the heads on the wires aren't making a good conection. Hope it is the latter 2. Take it to a mechanic.
