Of course. We are not ONLY tempted to do that which is a weakness, but also to stretch our minds and spirits to their ultimate limits. In other words, one is just as tempted by good as by bad. To give in to bad is considered a weakness, to give in to good is considered a virtue.

enki, temptation basically refers to things that awaken one's desires. Is the reason most people put an emphasis on "weakness, "giving in" to temptation, because "desire" also carries a large burden of "bad, sinful, greed" & so on? What ABSOLUTE links have temptation & weakness? I'm driving along the road on a warm day & see a stream off to the side--& beyond it, a green meadow. I envision crossing the cool waters of that stream, running across the meadow & lying in the grass. I'm tempted to pull over, but I have an appointment, & so, I don't. Have I resisted temptation or made the only choice I can? I see a handsome, warm man standing alone on the beach. I want to know him. I'm tempted to just walk over & speak to him. I do so in spite of any improprities others might perceive, & he smiles at me. Did I "give in" to temptation? The premise in the question is we are only tempted if we're weak, so, without weakness there'd be no temptation. LIFE is tempting. Why don't we focus more on pleasures than whether or not we're strong enough to "resist?"
Edit: Clearly I'm not referring to "bizarre" temptations. Also, at times it takes strength to reach out for what is tempting & will bring pleasure.

To be brief...
What is a temptation?
Some desire to give in to some thing or another due to weakness or committing some immoral act due to a character flaw or fault.
If we were to have any desire to commit any such act, even the slightest consideration in taking part in a forbidden deed, it would be deemed a weakness. If we never had such lapses, if we never pondered the things that tempt us, then we would have no weakness and no temptations either.
Therefore- No Weakness = No Temptions
AND Consequently...
NO TEMPTATIONS if NO WEAKNESSES.

Hypothetically speaking,
I think there would still be temptations if no one had
weaknesses. What is temptation, wanting something
which shouldn't be wanted. It isn't that the individual
can't have it, but the consequences of having it.
Would all weakness converted to strength change
the semantics of wanting and shouldn't wanting?
I don't think so, but I do think that the conversion
would change the process of having or obtaining
the subject of the temptation. The strong might
be more capable of gaining access to what
they want, but that doesn't change the dynamics
of the morality involved. Of course this is assuming
that "all of us" aren't exactly the same in traits and
strengths, and in that case "all of us" would be
clones wanting the same thing. Therefore, the
concept of temptation would cease to exist;
"all of us" wanting the same thing would alter
the temptation to a mutual standard of living

Enki a weakness is just your excuse for cheating say on spouse when they did not give you enough attention give me a break!!!!
A weakness is an insecurity don't try to blame it on why you do something bad or have temptations just admit that your insecure with yourself its easier that way instead of making excuses why you have a particular temptation to begin with like cheating on your girlfriend because she was not around for you hahaha

Sure. The temptations would just have to try a whole lot harder. Temptations have been getting a little bit soft lately. I'm sure they would appreciate the challenge!

If we have no weakness, we could only be tempted to make others weak, which would show our weakness. So, I suppose if there were no weakness, there would be no temptation.

Remember Adam and Eve? they were tempted to eat the forbidden fruit, were they not? God gave them that temptation to see how loyal they were to him, but as you now know what they did with the fruit. so, the same applies to us, don't you think? temptation has existed since God created Adam and Eve, but we have the option to resist it or go for the Apple or whatever it is you are tempted to do.
