I was talking to him about training, diet..etc

Then after a couple of days...I asked him how his training was going...he keeps avoiding me and evoiding eye contact.

Its obvious he doesnt want to talk to me. But why?

Im not needy or too talkative. It was just a pleasant chat.

Thanks everyone. Thats what I thought.

But I did praise him. He said he did it in under 4 hours - I said 'Oh well done!'

I did mine in 6 hours - oh well.

Yes, he felt threatened by a woman.

It's kindof a natural response...a few generations ago men are taught at an early age that we are and will be always physically stronger than women (not the case) and it is a punch in the kiwis if a woman were to outdo them.

If he was brought up right, he wouldn't feel so threatened. But I could guess quite a few men would have the same response...I know I have in the past before I educated myself.

Your instructor is erroneous, she could desire to have have been given perplexed on the grounds which you are able to fairly lose a pound of fat for each marathon you run - so in case you ran a marathon on a daily basis mutually as eating many times (approximately 2000 energy) you are able to lose 7lb a week not 1lb. To lose 1lb of fat you are able to desire to burn off./ not consume 3500 energy and it fairly is the quantity you burn once you run a marathon. In an hour of working you will burn approximately six hundred - 800 energy reckoning on how in a well timed fashion you run. So in case you run 6 days a week for say an hour you are able to lose approximately 2lb a week, it rather is going to in all probability take you approximately 3 to 4 months to lose 38lb so which you're turning out to be a purpose to be triumphant on your aim weight by the hot year. interior the 1st week you are able to perchance lose as much as 7lb as this has a tendency to take place once you first start up weight-reduction plan and then stable 2-3lb a week.

Sounds like, you've taken something away from this guy, as he is running this marathon, been training, working hard etc probably bragging to mates and collegues, only to find that someone he knows has already done it before he has.

Hes having an ego knock. Don't worry about it. people like that need to get a life.

He wants to be a special snowflake.

You STOLE his talent! How dare you!!

Hehe, he obviously feels threatened. I used to be in the military, I saw this among my male colleagues all the time. It is amazing how fragile a badly-developed ego is damaged. Perhaps he will eventually give in and actually get some good advice.

What a nerd. He's obviously given up.
Remember this - whenever anyone is mean to someone else the first reason you should look at is always jealousy. He's jealous of you, simple as that.

ROFL...maybe he's intimidating by your accomplishment/knowledge on the subject or he could have lied to you and doesn't want to say too much to reveal his dirty little secret. Doing things like running in marathons are admirable these days. LOL

Why don't you just ask him why? If he is giving you the cold shoulder, he is the one with a problem and not you. I would just forget about it. Life is too short to dwell on issues that hardly make a dent.
