If you approach reading this book like it's a task it will be. On the other hand, you choose to give it a chance you could love it with all your heart. After all, the story was written for the pleasure of reading it, not to torture school children.

I read it several years ago and loved it! I'm really into classic novels though. Many people find it difficult to follow the story lines of classic novels since their vocabulary is quite different from what we hear today. This is a great book and I hope you enjoy reading it!

Look it up on Wikipedia.com. I'm sure that it can tell you all about it!

I read it 40 years ago, so I don't have a clear memory of the book, but I do remember enjoying it. It's not boring.

No, however, please read the book and do not see the movie, as many of my English teacher friends have said that some of the characters in the book are not included in the movie. Good luck.
