www.kiddonet.com for girls mostly. it's stuff like cyber-dolls, fashion design, make up... www.neopets.com for any age, even adults. you've probably heard of neopets. i used to have a few. i highly un-recommend MySpace, FaceBook, LiveJournal or any of that for under 13, and even then under strict rules about what kind of information can go up.

I would recommend getting a webkinz and going online it WEBKINZ.COM where you could take care of it or if you don't want to buy anything i suggest NICK.COM, CARTOON NETWORK.COM, NEOPETS.COM, If they like bratz theres BRATZ.COM,if they like barbie it's BARBIE.COM, a younger girl would be DISNEY FAIRIES.COM you get to create a fairy it's fun!

You didn't say how old your kids are - that will make a big difference in the kinds of web sites that would appropriate for them. And it would be helpful to know if you were looking for "fun" sites or more educational ones.
pbskids.org, nickelodeon.com have tie-ins to their TV shows.
If you have a preschooler or kindergartener, you might try www.starfall.com for letter recognition and phonics/reading practice.
