They will continue as long as we allow them to. We have allowed the American political system to degenerate into a series of "Us vs. Them" sporting events where slogans and slanders have replaced knowledge and common sense. We have turned the founders into spokesmen for holiday furniture sales. We have abandoned our birthright in favor of soppy emotionalism and irrational fear.
The problem is not with the Administration or the Congress. The problem lies with an electorate that is more interested in the antics of anorexic pseudo-stars than in gaining a basic understanding of the principles the country was founded on and the rights of citizenship thousands sacrificed, fought and died for.

I am not sure what the founding fathers have to do with this. Do you really think that things would be the same after 200 some years? In any case, we vote for these people, parties or no parties. You can sit around and blame them, and you'd have that right, but the fact is that we get what we put there. More than 90% of all Congressmen are re-elected every year. So what is their motivation to do better? Whatever happens, odds are they are keeping their job anyway! Adding parties won't change this at all. That is not the problem. The problem is that people are lazy and ignorant, and they don't pay any attention to who they are voting for or why. Many just vote the party line. Studies show that many people make their basis for voting based on only two or three different issues! Now THAT is crazy. Elimination of parties in general MIGHT make an impact, but all adding parties would do is make even LESS get done, and people would still be overly loyal to whatever party they chose, rather than thinking for themselves. About all you can do is keep preaching your cause, as you have done here, and vote against incumbents whenever possible. That is my recommendation.

The answer to your question boils down to an apathetic public. Most would rather complain about whatever party is in office (just happens to be Bush at the present), than spend time making knowledgeable decisions regarding their vote. Being President is a thankless job, because you can't keep all the people happy all the time. Don't like the government? Form a group and campaign to replace them. Run for office and fix the problems. It's not as simple as it seems.

were going through some changes in AMERICA, "shock and awe".
the bush administration thought they could conquer
the American peaple and try to make us fear any other way
but theirs, actually they tried to make the whole world conform to "the new world order"
then after they infiltrated all the branches of government and
tried to conquere the middle east and close the doors behind them, and lock them tight for good.
their way is "we know whats best for you so dont question
our authority or you will be labeled as unpatriotic!!!
some American peaple are just to tired or ignorant to and will just conform and just be ruled and just get on with life.
democrats need to come on full force and reveal and investigate and expose all the crap that has went on and is going on even if some of their own fall, come clean!!!
i respect the reporters that are opening our eyes to whats going on until they get corrupted to.
just stay awake and stay strong, ride the storm out thing will clear up soon!!!
and if the democrats take over then when they screw up and get corrupt, reveal and expose all their crap too!!!
stay awake, and dont just sit back and get lazy and be ruled
by of a bunch nof rich assholes that want cheap labor, more prisons , be conqered or die attitude!!!
if they played back all the behind the scene behind closed doors things that have been ucovered ever since the bush adminisration took over, and the American peaple paid attention long enough i dont think the democrats would have any competition in the next election except maybe the independents!!!
but hey thats just my opinion i just moved to this planet 52 years ago!!!

I like all your points except for not supporting Israel. They are the only democracy in the Middle-East. They are at war with every Arab nation with the exception of Egypt and Jordan, they need a lot of support. Other than that you're right on the mark.

They put themselves and their special interests first and don't give a darn about the Country or its Citizens*... They totally are self-absorbed and completely out of touch with the American people*.... They do not practice > Ask not what your Country can do for you, but what you can do for the Country and its people*...

They just want to line their pockets and hire cheap labor. It's sad. If you or I didn't pay our taxes or broke the law they would send us to jail. The American blue collar worker has been sold out. Why else haven't they protect them?

Maybe because we all recognize that you do not speak for the American people.
You have a political opinion - so does everybody else and enough of them disagree with yours that your opinions do not become policy.
Deal With It.
