I turned 30 in may,
Yes I did dread it and I will the next one too.
birthdays are just another nail in the coffin,
there really nothing to celebrate.

No, it's half way between Christmas and New Year so gives me chance to throw a party and get rid of all the left over turkey!!!!!! The Christmas cake comes in handy too!
I hated it when I was a kid though!
With luck I'll reach the next mile stone in life and the Government will give me a birthday present too! The joke they call a Pension!!!!!!!!

I love my birthday. Age is just a state of mind so whether you're 20, 40, or 60 it doesn't matter. I've known people that are old at 20 and others that are young at 90.

No, not at all why should I...its in the Summer, we generally go out for a nice meal, or take a holiday somewhere to coincide with it...why should I dread it...yes you are a year older, but so what.

I nonetheless relish them. I remember a feeling of dread drawing close my thirtieth yet when I have been given previous it I felt extra powerful, from what individuals tell me their drawing close thirtieth birthday became a source of rigidity too and that they have got been positive whilst they have been given previous it.

Lately,it has been like any other day of my normal life...and I am 13,not 40
I found out that it is better that way,no wonder grown ups like it like that and I don't dread it,but I don't adore it either

Every year. It's just one big let down, and I can guarantee that something goes wrong every time. (prophetic phallacy? Maybe - still makes me dread it!) I'd love it of just once someone spoiled me and gave me a surprise party! I do for everyone else, but no-one ever does for me.... :-(

Heck NO! I'm 33 and have survived ALOT of BS in life. I'm so grateful when my B-day rolls around. I'm kinda sad because it means that I get one less in the future. LOL I'm looking forward to celebrating my (arbitrarily picked) 80th B-day complete with a Christian stripper dress as Jesus...well something like that. LOL

Not this year. This year my birthday means freedom. It's also "Forever 27", a phrase that has stuck with me for quite some time now. I think this next year is full of promise for me :)
