Pretty much... We are all one. However, I am experiencing life through the 5 sences inwhich I am usually limited to being "I" and not "we," so I have controle over "myself," (body, mind, spirit) as much as I choose to. So if control equals ownership. I would say that I own myself more than most people own themselves. Many people give up there personal power. It is sad.

In all reality however I don't truly believe anything is up for actual ownership.

There is nothing you can call your own. The identification with a "me" is a false identification. Everything mentioned in this question, with exception of the spirit or soul is temporal and fleeting. The spirit or soul can be considered one essence and is omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent. A unified spirit, soul or essence cannot be considered anyones property. Through the identification with the mind and body, duality or individuality rises, hence identification with "me" or the "I thought" takes hold. Here the thought of ownership takes seat.
The body has never been the same since so called birth. It is nothing more than food for the consciousness and will suffer a term commonly refered to as death. Similarly, the mind, and thoughts have temporal qualities and like clouds move across the changeless sky. There is no independant nature to the mind and thoughts, and like clouds cannot be held. Memories are from occurences that happened in the eternal now and give the impression of continuity or time. Every thing happens NOW. Throughout life memories are often forgotten and lost. Experiences are constantly being projected against our essence much like a movie is projected on a stationary movie screen, and are only a temporary occurence attached to transitory mind. Children and pets share this manifest consciousness that we call life. Children are born, raised and live individual separate existences throughout life. Pets share life giving love and companionship and can be considered as friends. Friends are generally not owned.

I own my mind, my soul which I have given to Christ, and my experiences, memories and thoughts. The rest I do not own and to show you what I mean, if I try to end my life and fail the courts take control. So I do not own my body or life, right? If I wanted to get rid of my pets and my children, I am accused of abuse of a child and animal cruelty. I do not own them, right?

ownership is a very relative word... The dictionary defines 'to own' as belonging to one self, to possess... so what does that mean? I think it means that it is not shared... and if that is the case... then no... we do not own anything at all...
our bodies are shared with others... we are responsible for them and we care for them but they can degenerate on their own and if in the wrong company, they can become ill.
our mind is continuosly affected by the things we hear, smell, see, touch, taste, and think about... our mind is just an empty vessel that we fill with things we borrow from the world.
Our soul and our spirit, if it exists, belongs to whom put it there, God... or other.
Pets and children share our lives with us, they are not ours... per se.
Our experiences, memories and thoughts may be what we call life... again all shared... maybe they belong to us in a partnership with others... but we certaintly do not own them exclusively.

It's all yours, and then some! You own the universe, the world you are inhabiting, the ants at your feet, the stars in the sky. They are yours, and because you own them, you can reach for the stars, you can touch the moon, you can accomplish whatever goal you set.

You can pick and choose among all of these possessions and decide your own course, because to borrow a phrase, you are the Master of your fate, the Captain of your ship. You have a choice as to which course to follow, and you can weather storms because you own bravery and common sense, too, the virtues that save us from disaster.

Billionaires have amassed millions of dollars, but they are no richer than the poorest beggar, because we have been given a priceless gift, the deed to the world we inhabit, so we must give it the same care we should give to all possessions, guard it from harm and treat it well.

I own my spirituality, which owns my entire being. It encapsulates me in a safe cocoon, that my body, my mind, my soul/spirit, my pets, my children (who have already passed before me.), my life, my experiences, my memories, and my thoughts would be blessed, protected, loved, cherrished, and led by the spirit to be the best that I can be in this life.
Blessings and love,
Sassy

I do not believe in ownership. When I use the term it is just a general figure of speech.

I must take ownership of ( usually someone elses mistakes) In this case it is means blame.

I am responsible for the care of much on your list, the steward or caretaker but I do not even believe in owning property. Everything belongs to the earth. Society disagrees but I can try and live under the line of fire.

just an old hippy at heart!

not a single thing. it was all given to you and created for you to share. you own nothing and that fact just won't change. you own material possesions? well.. what about the bank foreclosing your house or a natural catastophe blowing it away? is the rubble left over still yours?
you have children. you were a child yourself. do your parents own you?
do you know what a soul is? how do you define it? can you own something that is considered to be infinate if you yourself are merely mortal?
your thoughts and memories are not yours. they may have been formed in your head and pertain to you but they were not created souly by you. therefore you have no right to put a monopoly on them and claim to own them.
those are my thoughts on that and while yes, they formed in my head and came out of my mouth, you inspired me to answer and one thing leads to another. ownership? a myth in my opinion

:):) That is a very deep question. :):)

How can you own a mind that must be free?
How can a body belong, when the soul is not there?
How can you claim that you own your own life
when time is the true owner of all?

You had your children it's true, but you can never capture a moonbeam or a star.
