Did you ever do the, "Talk to the hand" thing at your parents, or has your child ever done it to you?

If I had ever done that to my mother, I'd STILL be in a coma........

That was a 90's thing, my parents had already met their maker and my children were already raising theirs for me to spoil. When the grand-kids tried it, I'd play it right back to them and they lost interest in that ploy really quick.

My mom sometimes lets me have control of the radio in the car..well she also likes to dance in her seat when I put it on rock/rap music and sing all weird. She also dances in the store whenever there's a guy looking at me =[ it's pretty embarassing. My dad always calls me "louy gooy" infront of my friends too lol that's pretty bad.

I am a little old for that. If it was around when I was a kid, I would have had an intimate conversation with my dads hand. And deservedly so. I have never had a kid do it too me. I have no kids. I have had a few girls do that too me and that just shows thier intellectual capacity. Also, if someone says "Whatever" to me, that just tells me that they have stopped trying to communicate.

I might as well have started to dig my own grave. I was at the beach a couple of weeks ago and I overheard this eleven or twelve year old girl talking to her mom, she was yelling at her mom saying, "Mom, don't talk to me like that! You can't tell me what to do, I can do what I want!" And her mom just let her continue to talk to her like that. I am seventeen and my mom would still yell at me for talking to her like that.

There are some adults who still do such thing,though they may be parents now.Even as a child it annoyed me not,I wouldn't be more surprised today if whomever does it pissed in their own pants.Childish and self insulting.

Lol, I prefer the version: "Talk to the paw, the head is not listening!" If I said that to my parents, I would have been knocked into next week!

No way on earth would I have shown that disrespect to my father. It would have been on my tombstone. I would not allow my sons to do that to me, either...unless it's done in jest. I don't think I'd kill them....I'd just let them know how much it hurt me. I feel they respect me too much to shut me down like that.
