can my 8 month oldsulcata tortoises be kept together with my 3 month old bearded dragon?
they are about the same size

and can different toroiises be kept together?
if so what kinds?

The rules for mixing species are a bit tricky, but a few basics are:

1. Never mix different continents- like Africa and Australia

2. Never mix species that can hurt each other- big Sulcatas can and will bite what looks like food.

3. Never mix species that need different habitats. Sulcatas NEED humid hiding boxes or other access to high humidity microclimats to avoid pyramiding of the scutes- they really do not want or need 'hot and dry' all the time.




Of course, in the interest of full disclosure, I think most people with Sulcatas did not think it through. I hear people all the time desperately trying to figure out what to do with them when they get big.
