My worst and one I will never forget. I was on an Amtrak train coming home to Penn Station from Maryland. The train had just pulled out of the Baltimore Maryland Station and I needed to go to the bathroom. I was close to the front of the car and I would have chosen to go to the lavoratory which was just a few feet ahead of me but since it was occupied, I went to the one in the car behind me. It was while I was in there, that all HELL BROKE LOOSE. The train started to shake violently and I was thrown back and forth. I had to get on my knees and hold on for dear life to the sink to stop myself from having my face cut. Meanwhile there were screams coming from the conductors. "Everybody Off the Train! Everybody Off the Train." When I opened the door, the car I had been in had uncoupled and all I saw was open air with a hand reaching out to me to help me get off the train. So much more to tell about but I will stop there. 14 people lost their lives in that incident when an amtrak train and a conrail train collided on January 4, 1987. It could have been an even greater disaster because the trains were just a few feet away from a bridge when the collision occurred. The ephipany to the story is that the person who was in the bathroom I was originally headed for was trapped inside for over 14 hours, I never found out whether she survived or not.
Edit: Here's a link to the incident in Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chase,_Maryland_rail_wreck

When I was little I used to go to this little Halloween festival in Pennsylvania. There was a tractor ride that took you along a trail in the woods to a pumpkin patch. The first time I went I wasn't warned about a guy dressed up as an ape jumping on the trailer. He scared the hell out of me and stayed on it for a few minutes. I was terrified for pretty much no reason. The next year I came back. As I was riding up to the little store in the car the same b*tch pounded on car window, the one I was sitting next to. By the way, if anybody has some tips on murdering somebody that works at a festival please let me know (I'm joking).

Can't say as we ever had a bad "traveling experience," but we did drive to California and crossed the Utah desert.

Let me tell you something. These people that talk about a "dry heat".....the heat has cooked their brains!

When it hits around 100º, that's just friggin' HOT!!!!!

We drove for a while through the desert with the windows open, CD blaring, at about 80 mph, and hot is just HOT.

We closed the windows and turned the A/C back on.

I've actually had my luggage lost before. That can be a pain and a half. Also, I've traveled with students and had a flight cancelled. I was stuck in Texas with 15 kids who were so upset because it was Father's Day and they could not get home to their families.
