Mississippi. Trust me on this, I live here. Outside of a few isolated areas it's pretty much all redneck. The most redneck individual towns I've ever seen have been in Alabama and Arkansas though.

I'm not qualified to answer this question cuz I've live out side US of A for near 30 years. I was born in Mississippi, before integration and lived with segregated water fountains and bus's. I saw more animosity in the north when I went up there but that also doesn't qualify cuz I don't know what a red neck is. I've had my white @ss threatened to be kicked by white folks for number of reasons. Some race related some cuz I was outsider.
Best question is what is a red neck? Is it true that people would eat red clay to compensate for deficiency in diet? Got my butt kicked in Georgia once for askin that question. Cuz the answer was about some non-white dude found the same protein in peanuts.
When we can stop pointing fingers we will find unity.

Louisiana. I have to admit "The Water Boy" influenced my choice. I lived in Western Kentucky for 6 years and there are a lot of rednecks there, but most of them reside in the eastern half of the state.
