You don't use a Mac, do you? If you do, email me and I can help you out.

As far as Windows PC, I'm sure others will have better tips, but I would see if your camcorder has any software to help import the file or if they have drivers on the manufacturers website.

Another tip might be to look for a program called handbrake. I think PC uses it, too. This lets you copy any dvd, even movies you bought at the store, onto your hard drive.

Another tip I just thought of. Copy the dvd onto the hard drive, see what format it's in (the file extension) and then do a google search on how to convert that file into a .wmv, .mov, .mp4, etc...

Good luck DC.

Changing a format of video can be annoying but i've found a great site for changing video formats online
Go : http://media-convert.com/

That should sort you out with whichever format you need.

particular. you're able to purchase a 3RCA/Svideo to USB cable and a utility which common comes with for unfastened in a %.. then you swap on the digicam, connect on your laptop, open the utility and seize. each and each hour of video takes one hour to seize. Then burn the video documents onto a DVD.
