Are you really trying to associate the 'way a person looks' to whether they are rap or r&b artists? One has absolutely nothing to do with the other. It's probably that the R*B artists over their lives have learned they have a 'voice' and perhaps had opportunities to learn an instrument. This is not to say that rap artists cannot do the same, but the idea of the rap style was born out of some some poverty, and some street life issues that they write about and instead of singing the lyrics - they rap it. This is not true for all and I would dare not make this a blanket statement.

I agree with tavy_pink05 ... I think you thinking about how they carry them selves and how they dress which is a little different. R&B is nice and soft alot of times its about love how about how a guy should treat a gurl which we gurls then find the passion for them and thats where we get the fact that they are soo good looking. Its cause we vision what they are singing/saying. where as hard core rappers are all about killing drugs and sleeping with gurls.. Not all but most and thats not a turn on to alot of gurls so that is why some gurls dont find that attractive. But the type of music someone sings does not make them the best or worst looking.

Because R & B is mostly about sexuality and appeal to the people who listen to them. BTW, not all rappers are fat and ugly.

Cause R&B is cool & so are the people who sing the songs.
Rap is just ugly, angry music, again just like the people who sing the songs.
Coolness attracts the fine, Anger attracts the ugly.
