OHH YES the first few months of having my period back after having the baby was really heavy sometimes almost looks like i have bit of clots in it. It was scary. And it seemed to last longer too. But it got better over the months.

Your first few periods after childbirth are always a little weird. For me, before I had my daughter I had a very light period and I rarely got cramps. Since having my daughter I bleed heavier and always get cramps now! The good news is they almost always get better from there. Pain and heavy menstrual flow are also extremely common after giving birth, simply because your body isn't accustomed to ovulating and menstruating regularly, so your initial period may be tougher on your system.

Yes, that's very normal. Your hormones are not back to normal yet and your body has been through a lot wiht pregnancy and delivery.
