why do you admire an actor/actress?

It depends on who it is. For example, I admire Jodie Foster. I consider her an actor, not an actress. An actress is someone who does "fluff" such as Jennifer Lopez. I admire Jodie because she truly brings life to her characters and it is always a challenging role. Could you imagine anyone else playing S.A. Starling in Silence of the Lambs? Nope. Why? Because they couldn't give that part of themselves that brings a character to life. And, she is incredibly intelligent, smart business woman and a lesbian who doesn't have to shout it at the top of her lungs!

i admire clint eastwood.
he has been able to take every character he plays as an actor and make them uniquely different. he has learned from all of the directors he has worked with over the years to become one of the best story-tellers on film of our time. he has the ability to pull your heartstrings and lets the audience transcend the film to make one feel the emotions of the characters and the worlds they live in. he is an expert at his craft and will be missed when he passes

For one thing, you have to keep in perspective that these individuals are humans with faults and issues just like 'us'. The ones who have been in the business for a long period of time earn my respect because they have managed to mature in their craft and every role they play is believeable or they have managed to touch me in some way. These actors are: Samuel L . Jackson, The late Ossie Davis, and his wife Ruby Dee, There are several of whom I have great regard for and no matter what movie they are in - their name alone would make me spend my money because they have proven themselves.
