What's the best tweaked firmware to use with the Linksys WRT54G series that's also very stable but with lots of options

I've tried some but that's why i am asking, firmware that are solely based on linux are the best you can get a upgrade from linux itself but you still can't get all you want.
I've tweaked mine before and got a stronger signal from my 60 dollar router lol if it dies i'll just buy a new one it's no biggie

A stronger signal depends on the hardware, not the software. ~

You should ONLY use firmware made by the manufacturer. Go to their site and get the latest.

Use of other firmware is very risky.

Don't listen to the n00bs.

There are TONS of open source options.

My favorite, and easiest is DD-WRT

Excellent documentation and support.
