and thought, oh crap, now if I answer this question it'll look like I cheated.

what i really hate is when i put in time and effort to churn out this great answer, then after i submit it, i look and the answerer above me has almost the same thing and got it in 4 seconds earlier...

Even worse is when you see one that claims it has no answers. Then you type in a reply that you think is great and that is so unique no one else will think of it. But after you submit it you find that someone else who types faster than you has already said the same thing 4 seconds before you did. Then you really look like you cheated.

If I notice that somebody has given the same answer I was going to give I usually skip the answer.

I never look at the other answers until later... so far I have been my own person.. i see a lot of the same answers

Yeah, but what pisses me off is when I look at a quesiton and there is no answer and when I submit mine, there is 5 more with the same answer already posted. BOOOOOOOO

Sometimes I do check the 1st answer, but I don't think of it as "cheating".
