Yes. Evil is the absolute absence of good and therefor it makes sense that to BE evil, a thing or person must be absolutely evil. Therefor, evil, by nature is entirely evil.

Well, I think it all depends on your religious beliefs. If you believe in God and His creation, then no, nothing can be evil in nature. God is perfect and without evil. Thus, that which he created is also devoid of evil. However, this does not mean evil does not exist. The idea of original sin also comes into discussion here, but still nothing can be ENTIRELY evil.
Now, if you don't believe in God, then it would surely seem that this case could possibly hold true. There is no way to know for sure because even the most disturbed people the human race has ever witnessed may have developed over time. It may have been an issue with environment rather than their nature. Often times people are the result of their environment.
I think that as time passed, technology drastically improved and temptations got progressively worse and more abundant.
It is the time that we live in that makes people seem "evil" at times. But, we are lowly human beings that occasional fall victim to temptation. So basically things can become evil, but are never evil by nature.

The world isn't black and white. There is no good and evil, because good and evil are subjective. So no, I don't believe something can be entirely evil, nor do I believe something can be objectively evil. I only believe that I can think of someone as evil, and I can think of someone as good. Someone elses views of the same person could be entirely different.
To the person above me: Is Satan truely evil? After all, he is an Angel. And in the Book of Job Satan is described as working in cahoots with God. Besides, God doesn't seem like a very nice person either.

No. I do not. Nor do I believe in pure good. the universe is a very complicated dance. And strangely from good sometimes comes bad and vice versa.
A great example would be the Third Reich. By creating such a horrible political edifice, the German people revealed to the world how terrible unfettered totalitarianism could be. People died and suffered, and that certainly is not good; but the example, in the long run, has made it very difficult for the same sorry situation to arise again. And that is a good thing.
Mark Twain once wrote a great essay, called I believe "Conversation with a Dervish' that expounded at great length about this.

No.. I think that even the most evil thing or person MUST have a redeeming quality somewhere!...
Maybe I'm just hiding from reality... but I'd hate to assume the worst, especially in other people. Afterall, something or some event must have made them evil? Right?.. (or so I will keep on trying to convince myself!)

Some religious people like me believe in a creature called Demon, Satan or whatever as the incarnation of true, pure evil. A thinking creature that is.

I would have to say so no, because I cannot see anything as being inherently perfect and pure evil along with pure good, would imply a quality of perfection in being a "whole" with no other parts.

Psychiatrists and nueroscientists have traced a certain genetic marker or "switch" in the temporal lobe that is 'turned off' in people exhibiting traits considered evil....such as serial killers, child rapists, etc.

No, neither any thing nor any person can be ENTIRELY evil. Then again 'evilness' is relative, something evil to you may not be evil to others and vice versa. It also depends on the time and place.
