I ride a 70cc Honda around town, and other than people screaming and waving and wanting to buy it, no real problems with it. It's light enough that it stops really quick when someone's paying more attention to their cellphone than the road. Save the world. Get a scooter.

Verucci scooters are made in China. A 49cc scooter has a top speed of around 30 mph on level ground.

If you need to keep up with 45 mph traffic, don't consider anything under 125cc's. Check your regional craigslist > for sale > motorcycles for used scooter values.

A lot depends on the traffic in your town, and your driving skills.
Just remember:
* They don't see you.
* They're a lot bigger than you.
* There are only a couple of layers of cloth between
you and a lot of hard uncompromising reality.
