I am moving to a very small town and it seems the two major realty companies don't get along and won't work together. I am interested in homes held by both companies, but given the situation, I won't have any representation for myself. Any advice about protecting my own interests?
At a time when realtors are begging people not to go the for-sale-by-owner-route, you'd think this wouldn't be an issue.

To explain further...Company A won't work with Company B. If I'm interested in Company A's house, they won't show it to me if I come with an agent from Company B and vice versa. There is no way to get an agent for myself in this town, period. That's why I'm asking what to do if you can't get one. Getting an agent from a close town isn't an option, either.
