We have a little country fair that features re-enactors from different time periods from American history. There are French fur trappers, Civil war battles, World War II camps, all the way up to the present. In each time "camp", there are authentic crafts and cooking. It is very interesting and educational. The entire community and surrounding area participates. The grown up kids have as much fun as the little ones.

we have Gatorfest. and it is a fair that the whole community gets into, we start with a parade and then it kicks off the opening events, there are concerts all 4 nights. and they are contests to see who got the biggest alligator. then you have the gatorfest queen,king, prince, and princess. there is also all kinds of cajun food like fried and grilled alligator, boudin balls, and of course the regular fair food. i have only lived here for three yrs but have enjoyed going to the fair!

We have the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo in February...largest rodeo in the U.S.
In April, we have FIESTA....a week-long party downtown celebrating diverse cultures and....other stuff.......bascially it's an excuse to get sh!t-faced and act the fool for a whole week ; )

Right now, there the firehouse carnival. In May, there is a Strawberry festival.

The Masters at the Augusta National. EVERYONE gets out of town-they rent out their houses to the golf fans. Traffic gets so bad, so everyone who lives here if they don't work at the Masters they go on vacation.
