Does anyone know how to get it closed? My son took it to the dealer and the couldn't close it either (maybe they were in a hurry!)

pull the switch off the roof. should have some sort of manual gear that you can turn to get it to closed position.

Sounds like something is jammed in the tracks or something is broken---put the sunroof all the way back and try to push on the tracks or guides to see if something is wrong from one side to the other---if it has a pop-up windscreen, it could have something to do with that mechanism also. May have to find a sunroof installer in your area and have them look at it---they deal with them all the time. Look in the owner's manual for the method to manually close it---should have a special tool with the car to do so.
