i was informed that siblings have been speaking to officials on my behalf do i need to get an attorney he was in the military years ago (desert storm) he got dishonorable discharge because of mental issues how do i find out if he had assests the family is not getting along with me

You need to get an attorney right away before they get his will sent to court. The authorities in his state may not know he has a legal wife! You are probably entitled to inherit at least half of his estate, but if they don't know about you his siblings will bleed you dry first. Go to any attorney that handles estates in YOUR area and ask that he telephone the courthouse in HIS area and inform them that you are his legal wife.

are you still married? were you estranged? had you started divorce proceedings? depending on your answers, i'd contact a lawyer and ask them. they have better knowledge of this.
