well, i think it was a mixture of mental illness and roid rage, possibly some other narcotic abuse. idk why ppl do the things they do, i think this is one case where we will just never know.

I'm sorry to say it, but this happens more often than you would think. Don't laugh at me here, but there was a woman on Oprah once who was going through a nasty divorce and when she came home from a weekend morning jog around the neighborhood, she found her three oldest children shot in their beds and her youngest, along with their father, shot in her bed. He killed all 4 of his own children then himself out of spite and for revenge. It happens more often than you would think.
I doubt very much that Benoit was murdered and framed. I also doubt he was truly in a "roid rage" as so many people believe. A report I just read from the Associated Press stated that there were Bibles left beside the bodies of his wife and son. Does that sound like the behavior or thinking of a man in an uncontrollable, drug-induced rage?

I'm sorry this might not be quite in the same line as some of what yall or posting but it does have to with the Benoit case. My post is directed toward Firebug for the most part. Just a pro wrestler no importance!!!! Listen I'm a pro wrestler by trade and we go day in and day out to make you people the fan's happy so that would make some of Benoit's caliber more than inportant he was a great wrestler he gave it all he had every time he stepped foot in a locker room so I take offensie to the directly that's what we do and he was one of the best ever to lace up a pair of boot's. I personaly think there is more to it then it seem's but they will not say if I'm wrong I will more than willingly retracked my statement. As far as I'm concerned with you Firebug till you have lived in or boot's you need to keep your comments to yourself saying that we are of no importance because if not for the few of us that love this sport yes that's right I said sport like Benoit and many other's to you have no business running you bannana catcher out who is and who isn't important. We give everything we have to make sure everyone watching us do are job's are happy with what we do and intill you learn that fact out this sport you should keep your mouth shut.

Nancy Benoit had asked Chris for a divorce in 2003, she filed a protection order against him for his anger. He broke all her furniture she reported. I was thinking that same thing until I read that on the internet. More than likely if he killed his wife I think it would have been stemmed off of one of these rages and she confronted him and told him she was done. This just made Chris go over the edge he more then likely tied her up and they still continued to fight, which led to her death. The child obviously was upset and Chris on a rampage to begin with couldn't handle what a 7 year old told him in fear and shame of his own father. When his mind cleared he realized what he did and couldn't handle dealing with it no longer. Certainly, it floored me that one of my favorite wrestlers could very well be like that in real life. Think of how many children were also his fans. Its been a hush hush issue that he is the one that is being blamed for his family's death from even my little fans.

You make a good point...he had a lot going for him in life, but that doesn't mean he had a good home life. Only he and his family knew what went on in that house. When i first heard the news i assumed murder, was surprised when they said it was murder-suicide. I will have to hear more on the case before i can either agree or disagree with your theory.
It is a shame....hope they all are in a better place!

People kill themselves and others every day in this country. It doesn't matter how successful you are in your professional life, it you are mentally ill, or have 'roid rage', that knows no economic boundaries. If it is true that he killed his family, then he was a very sick person.

It will be interesting to see if the cryptic emails he sent will shed some light on what happened. Steroid rage can lead to murder and/or suicide though.

Of course we all think that no one would "go that far". Sadly, it happens. We can only feel for the family they leave behind and hope that they are all in a better place.
