Men like to have a control. They want to be with woman but there eyes are always everywhere around them. Thats how most of them are made. Very few men just focus and look at the only woman they are with.. but that does not mean that they are cheating or want to cheat. Its just they are built. and i think they cant help it. I must say you should not sit on a seat facing the wall all teh time.. tell your man that sometime syou also like to switch the seats. if said nicely, you can work your way out.. Listen.. Men are someone who like to be in control, but deep inside wants to be loved and cared for by the special woman. you just need to figure out the way to handle this.

try sitting in the middle of the restaurant. Then you both have to face people. Which by the way I usually make my husband face the people and I face the wall, because I hate feeling like people are watching me eat.

Some folks just don't like the idea that they can't see who's walking up behind them. Or they feel the need to be able to look for a way out of a room at all times.
Has your husband been in the military or police force? I find that they are the ones who are most bothered by sitting with their back to the door.

Guys don't like to be in a position of weakness where someone can sneak up on them even when there is little or no chance of confrontation. It's a survival instinct that comes from cave man days or earlier. Men and hunters and must protect their women. Guys can't help that even though it seems silly. I'm the same way.

For the same reason men like to sleep on the side closet to the door. Its an innate protective instinct. By being able to watch the door we are better able to protect you from harm.

It is their way of watching the door to see who comes in. Men usually want their back to the wall not the crowd so they cannot be surprised by anyone. It is their way of protecting you.

I'm a guy who does not like to face the door, my wife does not like to eighter, so we sit together on the same side. It is a nice way to enjoy a meal together. so next time sit with him and tell him you just want to be close to him. ang
