okay so im totally blanking on what happened in the 5&6th books and i dont want to read them again. so 10 points to the person who gives me a full descrription of all the important things that happened in the books. i dont care if you get your info from a site just tell me! thanks : )

Book 5:
a lot of stuff going on... but i'll give it a whirl. haven't read in awhile, so i'll see what i remember:
it starts with harry in privet drive... he and dudley get attacked by Dementors! harry defends them, and of course gets a letter saying he did magic outside of school, but this time it says he is gonna get Expelled, and that someone from the ministry would come there soon and break his wand! so he tries to leave, but gets letters from dumbledore saying to stay put... he then gets a letter saying instead of being expelled, he was going to have to go to Trial.
he goes to the burrow, and stays w/ the weasleys. they find out that the order of the phoenix headquarters is at Sirius' house. the kids try to eavesdrop and hear that there may be a "secret weapon" that voldemort is trying to use, and that harry may be part of it, etc. they go to sirius' house, and try to get rid of any Dark objects... harry is getting extremely annoyed/angry w/ dumbledore because he feels that he is being ignored by D.
they go to school... harry is told that he needs to learn Occlumency w/ Snape, which is learning how to block someone from reading his mind. he has a connection w/ voldemort ever since the scar.... harry and snape don't get along, and snape refuses to teach harry anymore after a huge fight. harry has a dream that he is a snake, that finds mr. weasley and BITES him! blood spurting everywhere. he wakes up, tells D, and they find that the dream was Real, and that harry was in the mind of the snake. he feels as though he is being used for the Dark side, and tries to run away, but they don't let him. harry is starting to feel extremely misunderstood and unhappy....
eventually voldemort realizes that harry can read his mood/have visions, and so V tricks harry into thinking that they caught Sirius. harry tries to get the gang to go the ministry of magic and find sirius.. everyone thinks he's crazy and that harry shouldn't have seen these visions if he had learned occlumency. harry doesn't care, forces them to go. they find out that it was a trick, all the death eaters are there. they get him to pick up a Prophesy that was made about him, and that is what voldemort wanted. it gets broken in the fight, and the only thing that saves harry is dumbledore and some of the order. but sirius dies , is killed by Bellatrix.
finally harry learns that the prophesy was made by professor trelawny to dumbledore, than a boy born at certain time to certain parents would be marked as voldemort's equal, and neither could live while the other lived. this could have meant neville or harry, but V had chosen harry and the rest is history. dumbledore also tells harry that he was avoiding him, because he was afraid V would be using harry's connection to do something bad. D also apologizes for a lot of things, and admits it was his fault from the start...he should have told harry from the beginning all the stuff about snape and his father, and about voldemort and harry having to kill one another.... but he kept putting it off.. yadayadayada....
oh yeah, and there's a horrible new Defense teacher, professor Umbridge. she looks like a frog, and is short and mean. she picks on harry, and makes his life living hell. she is just like fudge, trying to blame harry for making up stories about V being back.
there's a lot more, but i think that is the gist of the story.
Book 6:
there is a new minister of magic (fudge got sacked). he visits the Muggle Prime Minister and tells him some horrible tragedies and deaths were dark wizards' faults, not random catastrophes. obviously voldemort supporters are getting out of hand, ministry of magic can't handle the huge problems.
dumbledore asks harry to help him before school starts. they are trying to persuade a professor Slughorn to teach at the school. he is Fat, lazy, jovial, and the kind of person who loves networking (likes to drop names, maintain contacts to get free gifts, etc), and favored Lily Potter as a student. he at first doesn't want to teach, but meeting harry persuades him and he takes the position. harry assumes it is the Defense of Dark arts position, but it is actually Potions... so Snape is the new DADA professor!
draco's mom and sister pay a visit to Snape and wormtail... narcissa begs him to take care of draco, and protect him from what the dark lord has asked him to do. snape promises and does the Unbreakable vow, to finish what draco is supposed to do. bellatrix does not trust snape, thinks he is a dumbledore supporter.
harry is suspicious of draco, but no one cares. he watches him on the map, finds that draco is spending a lot of time in the room of requirement. he becomes obsessed w/ finding out more, but can't get in cuz he doesn't know what draco uses it for. meanwhile, there are a few botched murder attempts. 1) katie bell gets imperiused to take a cursed necklace to the castle.. she fights w/ her friend and accidentally touches the necklace. she starts screaming and writhing and has to go to the hospital wing. 2) prof slughorn has a bottle of Rosmerta's mead that was supposed to go to Dumbledore, but he kept it for himself. he opens it when ron and harry come to him for some help regarding love potions, (ron accidentaly eats a drugged chocolate and is "in love" w/ some girl), and when he drinks the mead he is poisoned!! almost dies.
during this time ginny is really popular, has a few boyfriends. ron & harry catch her kissing, and ron embarrasses her. she screams that everyone else has "snogged" someone, but ron is the only one who hasn't. the next day, he is snogging lavendar all over town, and hermione gets hurt because they were starting to like each other (he is mad that she has probably snogged viktor krum). harry is developing feelings for ginny! btw... fleur delacour is engaged to ginny's brother bill!!
also, harry has an old book w/ writing all over it, from potions. it has spells and notes and tips, and he ends up being awesome in potions class. everyone is jealous, esp Hermione. it says "property of the half blood prince". he tries out some of the invented, hand-written spells, and one is horrible (sectumsempra).. he uses it against draco and his chest explodes and blood gushes Everywhere. snape fixes him up, but learns thru legimancy that harry has the text book. harry hides it in the room of requirement... which ironically is where draco has been most of the time mending a vanishing cabinet that connects Borgin and Burkes to Hogwarts.
all throughout this time dumbledore has been having secret lessons w/ harry, teaching and showing him about voldemort's past using memories he's collected from random people. they learn that slughorn has a secret, only harry can persuade slughorn to give him the real memory. harry eventually uses a cool potion Felix Felicious (liquid luck) to get it, and they learn that V has made 7 horcruxes (the ultimate evil way of keeping yourself immortal). dumbledore shares his ideas of what the horcruxes are. he promises harry they will go together when D finds another horcrux. they find one and leave hogwarts. harry is sure that draco is up to something, and gives his felix felicious to the gang.
they go to check out the horcrux.. D has to drink some mystery liquid in order to find the locket, which severely weakens him. he consistently asks for Snape, and they go back to the castle to find that there is a Dark Mark over hogwarts. harry is under his invisibility coat and is petrified by dumbledore, and can't move. draco uses that time to disarm D, and is scared but needing to Kill Dumbledore, under V's orders. other death eaters come out including snape, and snape kills D using Avada Kedavra. as harry is not petrified anymore, he runs after snape, and altho snape doesn't kill him they exchange words and jinxes. they death eaters run off, and the rest of the gang are ok except for Bill who is completely disfigured by a werewolf.
they hold a funeral for dumbledore. his portrait appears in the headmaster's room, sleeping. harry tells ginny he cannot be w/ her, as V may try to kill her to get to harry. hermione and ron have gotten together by this time. harry decides he will return to privet drive one last time, and not go back to hogwarts as he needs to destroy the horcruxes and Voldemort in book 7.

Book 5 - Harry and Dumbledore are trying to get the Minstry of Magic, and the general population to believe that Voldemort is back. The Minister of Magic is convinced Dumbledore is just trying to start sh*t. He puts Dolores Umbridge at Hogwarts and she eventually takes over. Big climax is the fight between the Order of the Phoenix and Voldemort & his gang at the Ministry. Sirius Black is killed in the fight. Everyone now knows the truth and the "second war" begins.
Book 6 - Dumbledore is in and out of Hogwarts on mysterious business. Turns out he is looking for the six horcruxes that Voldemort created to keep himself alive. He finds a couple of them and has ideas where a couple more are. Meanwhile, Draco Malfoy is given the task of killing someone and Snape makes an unbreakable vow to protect him. Turns out Draco's victim is Dumbledore. He can't quite bring himself to do it, and knows that Voldemort will kill him if he doesn't, so Snape steps in and kills Dumbledore.
Book 7 - Will Harry return to Hogwarts or will he go in search of Voldemort on his own? We should know in less than a month!

i only read book 5 (im just starting to read on 6th) so first off, harry becomes part of a group of ppl called the order, fred and george start their jokeshop, harry goes on trial cuz of using magic at the durslewys the professor umbridge works for the ministry, and she is a BIT$&, the ministry hired death-eaters, hagrid went on vaca and gave presents to dragons, they took their OWLS, and as usual harry fights voldemort (with hermione, ron, nevvile, luna lovegood, and ginny)

Hermione married Draco Malfoy after Harry Potter commits suicide. Hogwarts gets turned into a condominium and then Draco divorces Hermione after their baby is born with bright red hair. Ron Weasley kills Voldermort with an electric hair dryer and adopts the red haired baby after Hermione becomes an alcoholic and hangs out in Diogon Alley.

okayy...so in the fifth book harry was angry at everyone because supposedly he was "kept in the dark" of all the things thats been happening. then, when he arrived at grimmauld place, he was told that dumbledore called the order of phoenix members and the order was "reformed" he was told that this summer, the order has been keeping track on voldy and is followers...he also found out that the dementors went to voldy's side (he and his cousin was attacked before he came to grimmauld place) and since he used the patronous charm, he has to go to a hearing. the ministry of magic doesnt want ppl to knoe that voldys back because they dont believe it themselves, so they put someone from the inside to spy on dumbledore and stuff. thus, dolores umbridge became the high inquisitor and DADA teacher. so, harry has been having this vision nightmare...he was either voldermort or the snake so he had to do lessons with snape. so the year went on with this nightmare, until one day he had one about sirius dying. the thing is, sirius wasnt dying...voldy found out that harry could do like legimency of some sort without realizing it...so harry put the order on alert...and the DA emembers that he formed. but then when he got to the departement of mysteries he found out it was a trapped and the order and DA fought against voldy and his followers. bellaxtrix killed sirius...and finally, the ministry believed harry. so, thats basically the shortest version i can come up with for the 5th book. in the 6th book, harry was still uset about the death of sirius. dumbledore came to pick him up because he was invited to spent the rest of his summer in the burrow, so dumbledore told the dusleys tht he put a protection spell or charm of some sort in a place harry called "home" and it'll like turn off when hes 17 and stuff. so anyways, he persuaded slughorn to teach and became his favorite. malfoy's mom made snape do the unbrekable vow because she thinks draco was given a task from voldy for revenge. and she wants snape to help draco. thru out the yr. harry got help from the so-called half blood prince in potion. he even learned a new spell from this prince. now, since he saw a memory of snape last year when they were taking lesson for legimency, snape was furious. so, this yr. hes taking lessons from dumbledore. and so they went inside his memories and like learned about voldermort and stuff...one day dumbledore took him to find one of the horcrux. dumbledore who is now and injured after the battle last yr and wat hes been doing for the order was shaken. so when they got bak they saw the dark lord sign and so when they got to the lightning struck tower malfoy was telling dumbledore about his task to kill him. harry was under the invisible cloak. anyways, so a bunch of death eaters came to support malfoy, but he couldnt do it...so snape killed dumbledore. they later found out the horcrux that harry and dumbledore took was a fake, n some guy with the initial RAB took it...harry told his friends that he wont be coming bak to hogwarts even if it does reopened nxt year at dumbledore's funeral and that he plans to go bak to godrics hollow after he got bak from the dursleys cuz he has to go bak there one last time and he also said that hes gonna find the horcrux, killed voldermort and if he finds snape along the way, hes also gonna kill him....so thats the short version of both books...
