x-intercept is when y=0 (because the x-axis is the line "y=0"). So just substitute 0 for y, and solve for x:

3x - 6y = -18
3x - 6*0 = -18
3x = -18
x = -6

The x-intercept is where does this line cross the x axis (in other words when y = 0)

so substitute in y = 0 into your eqn and solve for the x intercept

3x -6(0) = -18
3x = -18
x = -6

so the x intercept is (-6,0)
