it was ok... Silence of the Lambs cannot be topped when it come to that character....
The kid was ok...

The movie was just OK. The guy who played the young Hannibal was cute. Nothing tops the movie Silence of the Lambs. The book is very good too. Hannibal sucked and so did the book!

I wasn't that thrilled with the movie, it seemed a bit plain and exaggerated to me. They turned Hannibal into just another ordinary psychological case, too predictable as well. And the ending wasn't all that great either. It should have explained how he ended up in the US perhaps.
Also, there were date inconsistencies; In the book Hannibal, he was 6 when they killed his sister, but in Hannibal Rising he was 11 I believe (or 8, but definitely not the same age as in Hannibal).
And him kissing his aunt was just terrible.
Also, it's almost gross how they tried anything just to get him with that mask on, shows it all turned into a business. Worst scene of the movie, in my opinion.
But the actor did a great job nevertheless, I'm glad they chose him for the part.

The prequel to Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs is a worthy addition to the Hannibal Lector franchise. And the young man is a great actor. A+!!!!

I loved the movie & I was truly happy w/ the actor they chose for the role. He had that icy look in his eyes just like Anthony Hopkins....good movie & acting overall......
