The WWE is in no way responsible for the deaths of Chris Benoit and his family.
This is an Official Statement from the WWE in terms of Chris Benoit's alledged Steroid Use:
1. The authorities stated that all drugs found in the house were believed to be legal prescriptions.
2. Steroids were not, and could not, be related to the cause of death (asphyxiation). Authorities had no factual basis to speculate as to Benoit’s state of mind, and rightly did not do so.
3. Toxicology tests have not even been completed, so there is no current evidence that Benoit even had steroids or any other substance in his body. In that regard, on the last test done on Benoit by WWE's independently administered drug testing program, done on April 10, 2007, Benoit tested negative.
4. The physical findings announced by authorities indicate deliberation, not rage. The wife's feet and hands were bound and she was asphyxiated, not beaten to death. By the account of the authorities, there were substantial periods of time between the death of the wife and the death of the son, again suggesting deliberate thought, not rage. The presence of a Bible by each is also not an act of rage.
5. WWE strongly suggests that it is entirely wrong for speculators to suggest that steroids had anything to do with these senseless acts, especially when the authorities plainly stated there is no evidence that Benoit had steroids in his body, pending the toxicological reports, and that they had no evidence at this time as to the motive for these acts.

That is a great question. I may get bashed by Benoit haters, but frankly I could care less, I have been bashed on my stand on this subject at least 100 times since it happened. Some people may not know what you are asking, but I do. In some ways the WWE did kill Chris, with all the traveling, not getting time to spend with Nancy and Daniel, day after day, night after night putting his body through such punishment and all those flying head butts of the top rope.He had the brain of an 82 year old Alzheimer's Patient. So in a way of speaking, WWE did have some hand in his death. RIP Chris, Nancy and Daniel

You don't even know if steroids were involved -- he was built like that long before WWE anyhow. It could have been a marital affair or something else. It is always best to wait until all the facts are out before making any accusations. William Regal's comments were appropriate he didn't go into any character issues but just told of how proffesionally he was the hardest working in the industry. WWE has fined and suspended wrestlers for using drugs ....example - Kurt Angle released, Jeff Hardy fired at one point. RVD and Sabu suspended for marijuana possesion. One has to take responsibility for their own choices not blame WWE or Vince McMahon or anyone else.

I agree that no steroids should be aloud, but Benoit has to take responsibility for his own choices. As far as the WWE being responsible- Thats BULL. Benoit killed himself along with a precious child and his wife. HE DID THAT- NOT WWE

That's debatable. It's mind over matter. It's all mental and you have to have willpower. If the scenario that is currently being dubbed as the cause of the double murder suicide is accurate than that is truly sad. If you don't have enough self control to the point where you suffocate your own child, who was obviously attempting to fight back to be able to breathe - come on.
