how dumb do they think we are?...better yet, how dumb are you if you think they can or will? 1965, 1986, and now, 2007...how long will we let them do this to us?

Not to invoke a matter of semantics, but yes they are more than capable. The problem is not that they can't but rather that they won't. This the reason why they keep trying to pass blanket amnesty bills. If they make the ones that are already here legal it temporarily absolves them from having to do anything so they can basically ignore the problem for another twenty years. Anyone who believes that the government will enforce this or any other immigration bill is not paying attention to history. We do not need new laws, we just need to start enforcing the ones we already have.

Of course they are not capable. "They" said they'd build a fence -- they didn't. "They" said they'd hire thousands of border agents -- they hired a pittance and jailed a few for doing their jobs. "They" said they'd enforce the existing laws and instead enforcement actions against employers have gone down except for when a photo-op is needed.
Unfortunately we have a ruling elite where the democrats are selling us out for the possible votes and the republicans are selling us out for the contributions from businesses looking for slave cheap labor.
