Seriously, last night everybody here was all sad, now so many of you are saying that you lost respect for the man, and hate him, etc. The theory that he killed his family hasn't been confirmed officially. Even if he did kill his family, there must have been something extremely wrong because a man like him wouldn't just kill his family then himself. Why would he do that right before he was going to get the ECW championship? It makes no sense. Also isn't it ironic that both Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero died right before they were going to win a major championship? (Chris-ECW, Eddie-World Heavyweight)

I know that I'm having trouble separating Benoit's persona on WWE from Benoit the man who took 3 lives over the weekend. I believe that any fan of Benoit the wrestler can still appreciate his skill and longevity in a sport reknowned for steroids and homo-eroticism (gay rumors notwithstanding). I think that people want to villify Benoit for murdering his wife and child and that means that they must hate him and everything he ever did in the ring.

As far as the connection to Eddie Guerrero and both being on the verge of championship status, maybe it was the stress involved that pushed each to ingest large quantities of drugs (allegedly). Vince McMahon pushes his wrestlers constantly and maybe the stress of dealing with success and the physical upkeep for men approaching their 40's finally took its toll.

Definitely agree, and although so many of his friends that spoke on his behalf last night on RAW, said that he was a private man, they just didn't know how severe of a mess his life must have been for it to end this way. THAT is why so many of his friends are hurting, and upset. That no one saw this coming.

When Eddie Guerrero died, everyone assumed that he had overdosed, because his demons of drug abuse followed him. It was public knowledge. Jake the Snake Roberts--not dead, but drug abuse. Ms Elizabeth, Jeff Hardy, Broc Lesnar--all people that you can trace the past history of problems. Chris had nothing. He went out and wrestled and gave everything when he did. Then in one news story everything that we built up as a "great man" based on nothing more than his wrestling performance, was shattered, and people are on the fence about it. Some are dedicated to the memory of what he was, a great wrestler. Some are stuck to the he is a murder and a steroid abuser. Some are stuck to he couldn't have done this because of who he was. When we know NOTHING of him and anything of his personal life. Chavo Guerrero probably had spent the most time with him last week, I would be curious to have him spill the beans if there was turmoil at home---he said last night that "just last week he had spent the night at Chris' house".

i still have respect for the man and its a shame the WWE has to lose 2 top superstars by tragic events but i found it ironic how both died before winning the championship but as to the murders ive seen wrestlingattitude and it mentions how Benoit sent suspiscious text messages to his friends he even sent one to Chavo before the PPV and thats when the investigations started but whatever comes out the mood towards Chris will not change

If it seems Chris Benoit did homicide his kin, i will have as plenty admire for him as i could all and sundry who could kill his own spouse & son, & then take the coward's way out by killing himself extremely than get as much as what he had performed to the individuals he's meant to love greater suitable than all and sundry interior the worldwide: not a single, solitary speck. i flow to attend until eventually the forensics learn proves he did this, by way of fact i'm hoping that it seems to be a triple homicide, & that Benoit does not be one in all those soulless deviant who could watch his own son beg for existence & pull the set off besides. notwithstanding, if it seems he did this, all admire I ever had for him would be lost & i will wish he under no circumstances gets inducted right into a expert wrestling corridor of repute. do not make the blunders of thinking that somebody being a good wrestler promptly makes them a good individual.

It's a hard thing to admit about someone a lot of people have admired for years. The only thing I believe that they are waiting for now is to help better determine a motive for the horrible acts committed.
