It was made in 1992. I know it is an older movie..but I was thinking of renting it from netflix.com.

I saw it in the 90s and wasn't that impressed. And neither were the people I saw it with. There were both men and women in the group, so it's not just a case of this being a movie that appeals to women more than men.
The movie in general was pretty grim (it's about child abuse), and the ending didn't make sense to the point where it came off as lame.
I personally would take a pass on it, but it you're curious, by all means rent it through Netflix. Then if your impression is that it sucks, at least you didn't spend any extra money on it. And if you end up liking the movie, then you could consider that a bonus. :-)

I just bought that on line because I couldn't find it in stores, it is a really good movie, sad in some parts but it makes me go back to when I was a kid and tryed to do crazy things like fly.

Its a good movie......its stars Elijah Wood (The Good Son,L.O.T.R.) and Lorraine Bracco (Goodfellas, The Sopranos) and Tom Hanks....he's the Narrator.....its a Good Movie to watch. I own It.....and Now I think I'm going to watch it.

I love this movie. Elijah Wood is in it and so is Lorraine Bracco. The story is so touching. It's very good.

I am pretty sure that movie is available to watch online through Netflix...
I watched it that way a few weeks ago.... I was a pretty good movie...
