Anybody care to guess as to why this thing with Chris Benoit happened?

if he really did do it he must have been sick or mentally ill in the head. That or he was really depressed about something, I don't know what would cause a man to act like that.

PWTorch.com has learned that one major media entity has received an email purporting to be from a friend of the Chris Benoit extended family saying that Benoit accidentally killed his wife in a domestic argument, then panicked and killed his son later so his son could be with his mother rather than grow up without a mom and knowing his father as a murderer.


This is all so, so, messed up.

the penicle of his carrer was behind him (no one wants to be the ecw champ after they were already the world heavyweight champ) His wife was probably still seeing the man benoit stole her from He was a nut (everyone in the tribute show all said how he always kept to himself) Loner behavior is the a telltale of nutcases! He had no charisma which is essential in being a wrestler in the wwe! He was a no good murdering bastard and Im upset that I watch the majority of that tribute show yesterday knowing what I know now I would have kept watching the enterprise marathon on sci-fi! besides I wanted to see what was going to happen in the vince story which has now been ruined becuase of this tragedy. Benoit always bored me, now I just don't like him and I never will. They BETTER NOT put him in the hall of fame! Benoit and Eddie are not in heaven wrestling like I said yesterday, because that basterd benoit is in hell sucking the devils balls!

It seems like he was supposed to fight for the ECW title at Vengence, but left (after murdering his wife and kid) due to a "family emergency". The purpose of returning back to Atlanta was to kill himself due to the guilt he felt after the murders. Anyone can see that this is basically the most "matter of factly" scenario that occurred, and you do not need a college degree or medical certification to piece together what happened. Just common sense after reading reports from the police that were released to the public.

If it is true about what steroid use and it's aftereffects, then I'll definitely go with that "roid rage" aspect as told by medical experts that are investigating this case. Maybe it was also due to getting transferred from Smackdown to ECW.

Very sad, but stuff happens, and it happens to the best of us..... RIP Chris and family.

As a former steriod user. I can tell you that it does not make you crazy at all. I was big and fast before I used and started to break the 310 pound mark. Me and the people I used with, were not crazy for the three years we used. People use this as an excuse to act tough or insane then blame the steriods. Does mary jane make you crazy. The only drug I have ever done that made me crazy as hell was ICE. Steriods are not phsychoactive compounds.

Investigators said said that Chris Benoit smothered his son and strangled his wife and commited suicide they said it might had a link with steroids beause of the roid rage or maybe depression.

I heard on different news programs and sites that Benoit found out his wife was cheating on him and was planning on leaving him, they he later found out that Daniel, was not his son. SO he just snapped.

My guess is steroids. Many pro-wresters do steroids to get as big as they are. One of the side-effects is depression as well as aggression. Had to have had some impact here. Sad story.
