Even though approaching the all-star break more sooner than later, it is still in fact to early to tell who will be Rookie of the year. But then again....

Who am i kidding?....of course with no doubt in mind Hunter Pence will win the Rookie of the year. Their is allot of great competition for this prestigious award but he leads in all the categories.

Hunter Pence will un-doubtably end up with Rookie of the year. He wont run away with it but I do believe his number are strong. He has had allot of success and outstanding consistency.

Allot of games to be played, allot of good competition but with the numbers he puts up, He will end up with rookie of the year.

as an astros fan, im hoping hunter pence will win it, but i think braun will win it. hunter pence will probably end up with a .330 avg, 25 hr, 90 rbi, 80 runs, and 20 sb where as braun will end near a .310 avg, 20 hr, 80 rbi, 90 runs, and 20 sb with less at bats. although hunter pence may be better and put up better numbers, braun is playing on a better team with a rock solid offense and usually better teams have players than win the hardware. so, braun just because he plays on a better team

The instant he gets the minimum at bats to qualify for ranking in batting average, he'll rocket straight to the top.

I don't think he's gone two games without a hit and most of his games have been multihit.

He's already broken the astros record for hits by a rookie by over 25 hits and, as the gentleman said... i'ts not October yet.

He WILL be rookie of the year... I hope the Astros lock him up for a long time (as they have Berkman and Carlos Lee).

As of now, yes. By the end of the season, I hope so. I love watching him play. It makes the Astros games bearable. I see him taking it this year and running away with the honors. Or hell, just give an old Astros fan something to cheer about outside of Biggio's 3,000.

It's quite early to say that he will for sure get it. But, if he keeps up his torrid hitting pace in addition to his mix of power and speed, it would be hard to not make him NL R of the Y. Furthermore, I could argue he belongs on the All-Star team, but I'm guessing somehow he won't get the vote.

I would say yes, if he keeps this up. Another good candidate is Corey Hart of the Brewers, but I would vote for Pence.

Possibly but i think Ryan Braun and Yovani Gallardo will end up ranking higher than them.

He's doing quite well, but it's not October yet.
