I would go with Apples to Apples. It has a very wide range of appeal (it's a game where kids can play against grandma and everyone will have fun), is very easy to teach people (just play a round of it), and can accomodate smaller or larger groups. Catch Phrase and Blokus are both fun, but around my house Apples to Apples gets played more than the other two by a wide margin.

A little bit of Apples and Oranges here as you have:
A 1 - 4 player abstract game (Blokus)
A 4 - 10 player party game (Apples to Apples)
and a 4 - 8 player party game
Of the two party games, I much prefer Apples to Apples. It's individual "competition" rather than team based, and with the right group, the negotiations with the judge are a good portion of the fun.
Of the three my preference would be for Blokus. I prefer abstract games to the party games, for the most part. If I were to choose a preferred abstract game (which also supports 1 - 4), Blokus would lose out to Ingenious.

A bit more options in Ingenious for aggressive vs defensive play, and it plays well, regardless of the number of players involved.

Taste is subjective , of course, but of the three I prefer Catch Phrase. It is a word association game for two teams. Apples to Apples is a fun, party game. Blokus is a very light, almost featherweight, abstract game fo four players.

My 13 year old likes the Blokus best & they play it in his advanced math class on occasion.

Apples to Apples is great!
But if you want crazy, loud, intense fun...Catch Phrase is great too!

I love Apples to Apples! Plus everyone, kids to elderly grandparents, can play it and enjoy it.
