did anyone else feel a sense of joy when gary bettmen was booed at the opening of the entry draft? when the heck are we going to fire this guy?

Yeah, I found that amusing. But *we* are never going to fire this guy. He is hired by the owners. The owners, generally speaking, are making money. So they are happy. It's a catch-22 for fans. Want to get rid of Gary Bettman and have more control over the rules of the game? Stop going to the games. When they start losing money, they'll start asking why, and then they'll start making changes. BUT... what is the point of being a hockey fan if you can't go to the games? Enough of us have to boycott to make a difference, but most people who care would still rather go to the games than not. So Bettman is probably not going anywhere.

Gary Bettman is the Saddam Hussein of hockey. Hopefully though, this time when we find him in the foxhole we'll do the right thing . . . . .
