Many believe that women should be included, so, should we also include gays in the draft, should it be reinstated? Why or why not? Feel free to use the 'equality' argument here as well.;..

Brian, if it DOES make you a sexist, at least you are cinsistent...many of the same people who argue WHY women don't (and shouldn't) get paid equally, sure like to cry equality on this issue...at least you aren't a hypocrite..some things are worse than 'sexist'. And I am glad that you are using your 'sexism' to protect women, and not to degrade, take rights away from, etc...

Pfo, all republican candidates don't want gays to serve...many gays have been dismissed (ones that translate...we need them especially) you can call my question dumb, but it is obvious that you don;t know any of the current events surrounding this issue.

Yes, let homosexuals serve. As Goldwater said, "You don't need to be straight to shoot straight."

MAYBE... first we should get a group of the 'sexiest' Conservatives and Religious leaders to go out and tempt the prospective soldiers..
I mean they may be gay but are not going to tell.
But if we send out some bait: e rush limbaugh and his big marshmellow butt out to do some personal interviews we can flush out the really gay ones before they decide to put their lives on the line for their country. Because sexy thoughts really matter when you are facing a buried explosive device in Iraq

Yes, in time of national emergency we should put aside our petty differences to fight for something greater.

I still wouldn't want sexuality of any type to become an issue during combat though. There are things that are more important for soldiers.

First of all, if there ever IS another draft, I predict that it will be the "straw that breaks the camel's back."

You'll see a return of the days of Vietnam.

But if there is, yes, it should include everyone.

Period.

Including any politicians old enough to be eligible. And their kids.

I don't understand why people are against the gays in the military. We need as much cannon fodder as possible and if the gays want to die for chimp's oil, let them.

Homosexuals should indeed be included. If they were excluded there would be a rush of conversions to a new sexual identity. I agree that women should be drafted but not serve in combat.

Yes, they should be included. They can't stand around yelling equality and only want it to apply to certain issues such as marriage.

Well they would have to otherwise the new form of draft dodging would be a spontaneous change in sexual orientation.

Homosexuality is not permited in the United States Military. So, no.

Woman shouldn't be included either.
