Do you have a good friendship with your friend? Me and my best friend tell each other everything thats wrong with each other, like a booger hangin out (ewww), or some new food chunk stuck to our teeth, or if one of us smells funny. Id rather be told that I am smelly than to never know. Id get rid of the smell quick. Just tell your friend "Hey dude....chicks dig a clean good smelling dude"... I know I do. Maybe if you were nice about it, or mean? I dont know, just tell him. Maybe he already knows and doesnt care. Hopefully thats not the case. The world would be such a lovely place if everyone it was clean for at least a day.

Dude, I bought some new cologne, you should really try it :)
Or Dude, you reek!
Or Dude, what have you been eating?
Sometimes it can be as simple as stinky feet in which you can get anti fungals. His scent may also be indicative of a health problem also (Different smells can mean different health problems). He may be using drugs, which would make him not care about his appearance & possibly sweat out the toxins. .

invite him over less or tell him to go home earlier than he usually does, if he is the type of friend who hangs around all day, say man you want to leave some clothes here at my place so that you can have a shower, if he says why, just gently tell him, girls hate guys that smell, he will be in the shower faster than you can blink.

Just tell him. He might not realize he has an odor. But don't say "stinks". Say something like, " Billy I don't want to make you mad, but I thought you would like to know you might need to change your deodorant. The one you have been using doesn't quite last all day".

oh lord, i had to do that once and it was one of the hardest things i've ever done. all of "buck's" friends had been noticing it for weeks and we all got together to talk about what we should do about it and everyone looked at me and said " ginger, it has to be you" well it took a day or two of thinking and working up the courage and then we went to a bar in the afternoon when it was kind of quiet and after about 4 beers i said " buck, you know i love you right?" he said " yes, of course" i said " well i need to tell you something and it's really hard for me" he said " well go on" so i took a deep breath and said " buck, you have an odor". well, he was mortified, but thanked me later for telling him and never stank again.

If it's guy, just be blunt. No need to get all sensitive, just tell him he has a BO problem and he should be able to handle it. If it's a girl, leave it alone, you do not want that headache.

If he's your best bud, then just tell him straight up that he doesn't smell too good. Make sure you do this when it's just the two of you around
best of luck and hope tht helps!
