The pyramids at Giza are probably the largest in the world. They were built by the Egyptians as a final resting place for their pharoah. Try researching this under "pyramid" in Wikipedia and I'm sure you'll find all of your answers.

The largest pyramid was built for an Emperor in China. It currently looks like a mountain, but it's not.
