Latest reports indicate that authorities now believe that Benoit strangled his wife on Saturday, then killed his son by strangling him or smothering him in his bed On Sunday. It was then sometime on Monday that Benoit hung himself in his weight room.

CNN and the Associate Press are confirming it all. The Atlanta police are supposed to have a press conference very soon. A member of the police force confirmed it with AP and CNN. Very sad and disturbing.

The only "Official" reporting being released right now is that the police are saying " the public will find the circumstances of the deaths strange when they are released "... but I have also heard what you are saying. I hope they don't wait until the toxicology reports to tell the public what the hell they saw in the house.

I just heard the same report. What I want to know is WHY??? It seemed like he was "on top of the world". Was he mentally ill? Did he find out his wife was having an affair? Why kill the kid? Too many questions, not enough answers.

These things always shock and anger me. If he felt like he had to end his life, why in the world did he feel he had to end the lives of his loved ones? The only answer is he was a very mentally ill individual.

I read that, too. What a tragic story, especially for his deceased wife and child.
Why can't you people that are defending him stop? He murdered his wife and child, and just because he is a famous wrestler that you look up to doesn't justify his actions. And for the person who said "If he did it, he had a reason to" --- tell me a logical reason to strangle your wife and then your seven-year-old child? No reason? Exactly!

If this is true, I have lost all respect for Benoit and there should be no RIP for him.
And people quit making damn excuses for him. He had controll over what he did, he did not have mental issues so bad that he had no control.
