"Be Aggressive
B. E. Aggressive"

Get on the blocks and have each person up there be prepared to make their body into a letter.

the first person makes the shape of an L with their body and says "Give me an L" and everyone says "L"
the next makes an A and says "Give me an A" and everyone repeats. Do this till you've spelled your team name. Everyone yell's "Go Lancers!" and the people on the blocks all jump in :)

Here's a good quote you might be able to use for inspiration:

"*SWIMMERS DON'T SWIM BECAUSE ITS FUN.. Ask any of us, most of us hate it, but we couldn't imagine our lives without it. Its part of us, something we live for. We live for the (double) 3 hr practices, the team parties, the long bus rides, the invitational, the countless swim caps, the inside jokes, the friendships, the laughs, the love, the coaches you hate but appreciate later, and the sport itself. We live for the way you become a family with your team, and no one understands what happens within that pool or locker room but you and your teammates. We live for the countless songs you sing in your head when you're swimming all those laps. We live for the people who scream at you while you're swimming even though all you hear is BLAH BLAH BLAH. We live for the competition, we live for the friends, we live for the practice, and we live for the pain. WE LIVE FOR THE TEAM. ITS A PART OF US BECAUSE WE ARE SWIMMERS.*

Enjoy!

well, do whatever fits you, not your mother. it's your life. you sound like you could have your round off back handspring by next year, so maybe you should hold off on the cheer thing. color guards to not get made fun of. the color guards at my high school are actually highly respected because we are number one in choreography difficulty, staying on beat, and working as one team. our band is also best in state. maybe you should try swimming again if that's what you like. i don't know, i'm not you. decide for yourself. but hold off on cheer leading. you don't want to be the only girl trying out without any tumbling skills, cheer experience, and stunting and jumping techniques. and who cares about their reputation in high school? i'm considered a "nerd" at my high school because i have straight A's in all my AP and honor's classes that don't go below a 99 average and I still have a lot of friends. I just care about school, too. and I guess you could call color guard dorky, but who cares? it's your choice. don't let others bring your hopes and dreams down. set goals for yourself, not others. reach your expectations and you parent's expectations academically, but don't try for extra curricular activities that you know you won't enjoy. high school is a great experience. lots of fun and hard times, but it's all worth it if you want to go to ivy league college, earn scholarships, and become a highly respectable individual in the future. good luck, and have fun!
