Also, if you can suggest a good site to learn Linux, I would really appreciate it. -I find programming-type stuff confusing, but I learn fast and effectively, as long as I can get the info via interactive or streaming/broadcast media.

The K-Linux suggestion is a possibility, but it's targetted more at the embedded market which means although it can run on low resource hardware, it might also lack support of many common desktop peripherals.

I'd recommend practically any current major OS distribution running in its "minimal graphical interface" or no GUI at all.

Since you're asking about learing Linux, I'm going to guess that you won't want a completely GUI-less distro.

I'd recommend maybe something like Damn Small Linux which has pretty good support for hardware and common applications Users want to run.
